I was finally looking for a new puppy and after doing lots of research decided to get one from a breeder that tried to produce the overall sheltie. I was looking for brains, structure, and drive. I had met Kathy Murphy of MY-T-HI kennels when I went to the Chicago Sheltie National and spent many years becoming friends and telling her that I wanted a puppy "someday." Well, someday finally arrived in August of 2001 when she flew to my home in Texas with a bundle of joy.
Scout has lead my life into many directions and I love him for it. He has taken me into the conformation ring where he won two Best of Breeds and got points towards his championship. He has also been a wonderful agility dog and we are currently working on herding as well. I gave up the conformation because there are only so many hours in the day and only so much money in the bank. So we decided to focus on the agility and herding.
